Here's my weekly recommended download. It’s the turn of Paint.NET. This is one of the best free alternatives to Adobe Photoshop. It has all the basic features you would expect from a graphic design application, and a whole lot more. I did give GIMP a go for a while, but thought it was complicated compared to Photoshop. Paint.NET is much easier to use and has a good user interface. Tutorials are widely available and it offers support for plug-ins. It works on Windows XP,

Great recommendation! Someone just came to me and wanted me to do some photoshopping, I pointed him towards this program and he was able to figure it out in mere seconds!
